We wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving.

We hope that your weekend is filled with laughter and rest and time spent with the people you care about.

We do know, however, that it can be really difficult to be grateful, especially when you’ve been stuck in a place of hurt, loneliness, disappointment, guilt, or sickness.

So we offer some perspective from author Lysa Terkeurst to any of you who are struggling during this season of gratitude.

There are a lot of people who would trade their best day for my worst day.

Yes, I have a lot to manage. And yes, sometimes things get a little foggy. But that doesn’t mean I have to stay swallowed up in the gray. That means I need to get my head above the clouds and see all the many places where the sun is shining brightly in my life.

I can start by making a list of things for which I need to be thankful.

We’ll leave you with this verse and the hope that we’ll all be able to see the beauty around us.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Blessings to your family from the United Faith Mortgage Team.
