We love our pets! They aren’t LIKE a member of the family…they ARE a member of the family!
But let’s keep it real. They can unintentionally trash the house as well — especially with Spring weather (rain, snow, mulch, grass clippings, fresh topsoil, you get it). So we thought we’d share some ‘pet-hacks’ we’ve found that might help make cleaning more of a Spring breeze!
Flooring Hack: Make all your rugs indoor/outdoor rugs. Wet, dirty dogs are no match for decorative rugs that wipe clean with a rag and don’t hold water. Use them at the doors and anywhere your dog likes to lounge.
Pet Hair Hack: Two Words – latex gloves. More of us have these in our homes these days, but have you ever put one on and run your hand over the couch, chair, bed, car? Fur comes up, and gloves can simply rinse off for reuse!
Cleaning Hack: Shaving Cream! (not gel) Who would have thought that foamy shaving cream can also clean up pet vomit or urine? Be sure to try it on a less visible place on your carpet or furniture to make sure it doesn’t remove the color, then spray, let it foam, and wipe with warm water. Boom!
Furniture Hack: Prolong furniture where your pets like to lounge with several inexpensive, cotton throws. Your furniture will wear longer, and the throws can be changed and washed.
