“Fra-gee-lay! It must be Italian!”

Old Man Parker’s leg lamp arrived in PERFECT condition in the classic movie A Christmas Story – “FRAGILE” stenciled loud and proud on the box.

No one has a huge wooden shipping crate and packing hay on hand anymore. So how do you pack up your fragiles to ensure they arrive safe and sound at your new home?

Here are a few packing tips and tricks for packing up your “fra-gee-lay” items.

  • Put styrofoam plates in between each of your kitchen plates.
  • Separate bowls, mugs, or other items with coffee filters / dinner napkins.
  • Line the bottom of fragile boxes with a dish towel / hand towel to give your items a little extra cushion.
  • Always wrap glass or ceramic lids separately!
  • Running short on packing paper or newspaper? Use paper towels.
  • Use towels or t-shirts in extra space around your fragile items for extra cushion.

Happy fra-gee-lay packing from the United Faith Mortgage team!
